Koerich Castle, also known as Gréiweschlass, is a medieval castle ruin located in the village of Koerich in central Luxembourg.

Built between the late 12th and early 13th centuries by Wirich I, Lord of Koerich, it is one of the famous castles in Luxembourg’s Valley of the Seven Castles. Originally constructed as a fortified stronghold surrounded by a moat, the castle was gradually expanded and transformed into a more comfortable noble residence with Gothic, Renaissance, and later Baroque features.

Its massive keep, thick walls, and surviving chapel tower reflect its long architectural evolution. After falling into decline in the late 18th century, the castle became a ruin, but preservation efforts helped save its remaining structures. Today, it is owned by the Luxembourg state and is open to visitors, offering a glimpse into the country’s medieval history and noble heritage.
