Kurjaković Fortress, also known as Fortica or Obrovac Fortress, is a medieval stronghold perched above the town of Obrovac and the Zrmanja River in Croatia.

Built in the 14th century, it was the seat of the noble Kurjaković family, descendants of the Gusić lineage, who helped develop Obrovac into an important regional trading center. Because of its strategic location on key trade and transport routes between the Adriatic coast and inland Croatia, the fortress played an important military and economic role.

It later came under Ottoman control in 1527 and remained contested until Venetian forces captured and largely destroyed it in 1647. Today, the remains of Kurjaković Fortress stand as one of the main historical landmarks of Obrovac. Visitors can explore its preserved walls and enjoy panoramic views of the town, river, and surrounding landscape while learning about the region’s medieval past.
