Meghri Fortress is a medieval Armenian fortress located in the city of Meghri in the Syunik region.

It was originally built in the 9th or 11th century, with historical records first mentioning it in 1083. The fortress underwent significant reconstruction in the 18th century, notably during the time of the Armenian military leader David Bek. Its architecture is unique in Armenia because it consists of six separate towers—four round and two rectangular—without defensive walls; instead, natural mountain slopes provide protection.

Inside the fortress walls, wooden beams are used along the perimeter of the towers as a structural feature to resist earthquakes. Strategically perched on rocky hills, Meghri Fortress provided strong defense for the town by securing the northern, western, and eastern approaches. The fortress also includes 18th-century firing openings adapted for the use of firearms, reflecting its continued military importance in later periods.

It is an important historical and architectural monument representing medieval Armenian military ingenuity and resilience.​
