Mersch Castle is a historic castle located in the center of Mersch, Luxembourg, and is one of the notable sites in the Valley of the Seven Castles.

Its origins date back to the 13th century, when it was built by Theodoric, a knight serving Countess Ermesinde of Luxembourg. Over the centuries, the castle was damaged and rebuilt several times. In the late 16th century, Paul von der Veltz transformed it from a medieval fortress into an elegant Renaissance residence with large windows, vaulted halls, and defensive walls flanked by towers.

Today, Mersch Castle is a well-preserved landmark that combines medieval and Renaissance architecture. After extensive restoration, it became the seat of the municipal administration of Mersch and remains an important symbol of the town’s history and heritage.
