Pejačević Castle is a historic classical manor located in the Retfala district of Osijek, eastern Croatia.
Built around 1801 by Count Sigismund Pejačević, it was one of several estates owned by the influential Pejačević noble family, which played an important role in the history of the Slavonia region. The castle is known for its elegant neoclassical design, featuring a U-shaped layout, a prominent central pavilion, arcades, and decorative Ionic pilasters.
Originally surrounded by extensive landscaped gardens, it served as a prestigious aristocratic residence for generations. Today, Pejačević Castle remains one of Osijek’s notable historic landmarks and an important example of classical architecture in Croatia. Although the building has experienced periods of neglect, it continues to reflect the region’s noble heritage and cultural history.
