Schloss Ort is a medieval castle situated on a small island in Lake Traunsee near Gmunden, Austria, with origins dating back to around 1080. Founded by Hartnidus of Ort, it served as a defensive fortress and noble residence through the centuries.

The castle features a blend of Gothic and Renaissance architectural elements, including a distinctive triangular courtyard, elegant halls, and a great hall adorned with frescoes and woodwork. It was owned by notable families such as the Wallsee and Starhemberg before passing to the Habsburg emperors. After a major fire in 1626, the castle was rebuilt in its current form.

Schloss Ort is connected to the mainland by a picturesque wooden bridge and offers stunning views of the lake and the Alps. Today, it is open to visitors year-round, housing a small museum and hosting cultural events. The castle gained wider fame as the filming location for the television series "Schlosshotel Orth," making it a popular tourist attraction.
