Torre di Casallia is a medieval stone tower located near Vetulonia in the Tuscan Maremma.

Originally built around the year 1000 as the bell tower of a religious complex linked to the nearby Abbey of Sestinga, it was later converted into part of a fortified residence after the monastery was abandoned. The tower became the central feature of the Castello di Casallia, a small fortified complex that passed into the hands of local lords and later came under the influence of Siena.

Despite later renovations, the tower has retained much of its original medieval appearance, including its square stone structure and defensive features. Today, Torre di Casallia stands as a striking reminder of the region’s medieval history. Overlooking the countryside between Vetulonia and Castiglione della Pescaia, it is appreciated for its historic character, restored architecture, and connection to the rich heritage of the Tuscan Maremma.
