Zdunje is a small multiethnic village in the Gostivar municipality of northwestern North Macedonia, located in the Poreče region near the Kosovo border.
First attested in the 1467/68 Ottoman tax registry with 20 Christian Albanian-origin households, it later saw Slavicization, Ottoman Turkish settlement, and Bulgarian Exarchist presence, with 1900 records showing 300 Turks, 120 Muslim Albanians, and 65 Bulgarians.
As of the 2021 census, it has about 1,140 residents primarily of Albanian (730), Turkish (532), and Macedonian (77) ethnicity, reflecting its layered history of migration and cultural mixing without notable historical monuments.
