Burg Seebenstein is a hilltop medieval castle in the town of Seebenstein in Lower Austria, Austria, rising about 453 metres above sea level and forming the central landmark of the nearby Nature Park Seebenstein.

Modern research suggests the castle was probably built between around 1180 and 1230, with its first clear mention in historical records appearing in documents from 1159–1164, and it likely originated as a frontier fortress controlling routes through the Buckligen World and Wienerwald region.

The castle consists of two main parts: an older section with a round 23‑metre‑high bergfried (tower) and a ruined residential building (palas) from the 13th–14th centuries, and a newer “high castle” (Hochschloss) built and expanded between the 15th and 17th centuries that houses a chapel, a weapons collection, and a significant collection of Marian statues.

Over its long history, Burg Seebenstein changed hands among prominent families including the Formbacher, Liechtenstein, and Nehammer, and since 1942 it has remained in private family ownership while being open to the public as one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region. Visitors can reach the castle on foot via three paths from the local meadow estate (Meierhof), and guided tours are offered regularly from Easter Saturday until late October, highlighting the tower, chapel, and interior museum displays.
