Burgruine Pfannberg is a hilltop castle ruin near Frohnleiten in Styria, Austria. It dates back to the early 13th century and was once one of the most important castles in the Mur Valley, but it later fell into decay and is now a scenic ruin with only parts of the walls, chapel, and tower remains still visible. The site is close to Frohnleiten and can be reached by a forest path, though it is officially restricted because of the danger of collapse. Even so, it remains a striking historic landmark that gives a strong impression of medieval power and landscape defense.
