Burgruine Waxenegg is a castle ruin located in the village of Naintsch, near Anger in Styria, Austria. First mentioned in records from 1217 as "Wesseneck," it consists of two main parts: the upper castle, Alt-Waxenegg, built in the early 13th century on land owned by the Salzburg Archbishopric, and the lower castle, Neu-Waxenegg, constructed nearby on a lower terrain.

The upper castle was expanded into a residential fortress in the 16th century, while the lower castle was eventually abandoned. Over its history, the castle changed hands several times, with portions of it falling into ruin starting in the 19th century.

Today, the remains include the upper castle's tower, some residential walls, a gatehouse with a tower, and traces of the lower castle, which is largely overgrown. Surrounded by forest, the ruin is accessible via marked walking paths and has been undergoing preservation efforts to stabilize and possibly repurpose it for cultural activities.
