Güssing Castle (German: Burg Güssing) is the oldest castle in Burgenland, Austria, standing on an extinct volcanic cone about 293 meters above sea level just above the town of Güssing in southern Burgenland, and it dominates the Pannonian landscape with its distinctive silhouette visible from far away.

The fortress was originally established around 1157–1180 on this natural basalt rock as a defensive stronghold against eastern threats, probably by the local Lords of Güssing, and in the 16th and 17th centuries it was expanded into a brick-walled fortress with Renaissance features while retaining its medieval military character, before passing to the powerful Batthyány family, one of the most influential noble dynasties of historic Hungary, who continued to use and develop it as a residence and administrative center.

Today the castle is still owned by the Batthyánys and is a major cultural attraction, featuring a museum with over 5,000 objects, including an ancestral portrait gallery, a weapons and armor collection, Flemish tapestries from the 16th–17th centuries, family archives, and liturgical objects from the nearby collegiate church, which was founded by the Batthyánys in 1648 and is still cared for by Franciscan friars who have lived there for nearly four centuries.
