Puxerloch is a rare medieval cave castle site in Styria, Austria, near Teufenbach in the Murau district. It actually refers to two fortified cave ruins, Luegg and Schallaun, built into a steep rock face above the Mur Valley, and they are among the few surviving cave castles in Austria. Today, the site is known for its unusual setting and hiking access rather than for large standing ruins. Luegg is the better-preserved and more accessible part, while Schallaun is much harder to reach, making Puxerloch an atmospheric reminder of medieval defensive building in a dramatic landscape.
