Schloss Itter is a 19th-century castle in Itter, a village in Tyrol, Austria, built on the site of an older fortress dating back to at least the 13th century. It overlooks the Brixental valley and has served various roles, including an administrative seat and noble residence.

During World War II, from 1943 it was turned into a Nazi prison for high-profile French prisoners under Dachau's administration. In May 1945, it became the site of the unusual Battle of Castle Itter, where U.S. soldiers, Austrian resistance fighters, and German Wehrmacht soldiers fought together against Waffen-SS troops to defend the castle and its prisoners. The battle is notable as one of the only times during the war that Americans and Germans fought as allies.

After the war, the castle became a luxury hotel before returning to private ownership and is no longer open to the public.
