The University Botanical Garden in Sofia, Bulgaria, was established in 1892 by the first Bulgarian professor of botany, Dr. Stefan Georgiev.

It is the oldest botanical garden in the country and is situated in the city center, covering about 5,000 square meters with both outdoor and greenhouse spaces. The garden hosts around 2,500 plant species, including medicinal plants featured in a dedicated Pharmacy Garden, exotic flowers, and trees such as a notable century-old oak planted during its opening, which symbolizes the historical forests once covering the area.
