Dronninglund Castle is a historic castle in the town of Dronninglund in northern Jutland, Denmark.

Its origins date back to the 12th century, when it was established as the Benedictine Hundslund Priory. After the Reformation, the property passed into private ownership and later became associated with the Danish royal family. The castle received its current name in 1690 when Queen Charlotte Amalie acquired the estate. “Dronninglund” means “Queen’s Grove,” reflecting its royal connection.

Over the centuries, the former monastery was transformed into a manor and royal residence while retaining elements of its medieval heritage. Today, Dronninglund Castle operates as a hotel, restaurant, and venue for conferences and events. Known for its historic architecture, beautifully preserved interiors, and long history spanning more than 800 years, it remains one of northern Denmark’s most notable heritage sites.
