Gråsten Palace is a royal palace located in the town of Gråsten in southern Denmark.
Originally established as a hunting lodge in the 16th century, the palace was rebuilt several times after devastating fires, with the current Rococo-style palace dating largely from 1759. The palace is best known as the summer residence of the Danish royal family.
Since 1935, it has been used by generations of Danish monarchs, including King Frederik IX, Queen Ingrid, and later members of the royal family. Surrounded by attractive gardens, lakes, and woodland, Gråsten Palace is one of Denmark’s most beloved royal residences.
