Holsteinborg Castle is a historic manor located in Denmark, about 13 kilometers from Skælskør. Built primarily between 1598 and 1651 by the Trolle family, the castle showcases a blend of architectural styles including Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical.

The building features four interconnected two-story wings surrounded by a moat, with corner towers and a notable main gate flanked by symbolic headless shieldbearers representing the Trolle family crest. The castle is set in an extensive park that slopes gently toward Holsteinborg Cove, offering picturesque views of the Småland Sea and the Great Belt.

Holsteinborg Castle has been owned by the Holstein family since 1707 and is renowned for its connections to the writer Hans Christian Andersen, who frequently visited from 1856 until his death, drawing inspiration for some of his famous works. The castle also houses a Baroque-style chapel established in 1728, featuring artwork that enhances its historical and cultural significance.

Today, the estate remains a prominent heritage site, admired for both its architectural beauty and its literary legacy.
