Ledreborg Castle is a grand Baroque palace located near Lejre on the island of Zealand, Denmark.

The estate was transformed into its current form in the 1740s by Johan Ludvig Holstein, one of Denmark’s most influential statesmen, and was designed by leading architects of the period. It is widely regarded as one of Denmark’s finest 18th-century country estates. The castle is famous for its elegant architecture, richly decorated interiors, and impressive terraced Baroque gardens that descend into the scenic Kornerup Valley.

The surrounding parkland includes formal gardens, sculptures, fountains, and a historic deer park, creating one of the country’s most beautiful landscaped estates. Still owned by the Holstein-Ledreborg family, the castle remains an important cultural landmark. Today it hosts guided visits, concerts, conferences, and special events, allowing visitors to experience both its historic grandeur and its picturesque natural surroundings.
