Lerchenborg is a magnificent Rococo manor house located near Kalundborg on the west coast of Zealand, Denmark.

Originally established as Østrupgård, the estate was transformed in the mid-18th century by Christian Lerche, who built the current manor and renamed it Lerchenborg in 1754. The estate is renowned for its elegant whitewashed architecture, richly decorated Rococo interiors, and its carefully planned Baroque layout.

The manor house, farm buildings, gardens, and park were designed as a symmetrical architectural ensemble, making Lerchenborg one of Denmark’s most impressive and best-preserved manor estates. For centuries, Lerchenborg has remained closely associated with the Lerche-Lerchenborg family. Today, it is both a working estate and a historic landmark, known for its beautiful parkland, cultural events, and significant role in Denmark’s aristocratic and architectural heritage.
