The Arboretum de Varennes-en-Argonne is a 2.5-hectare municipal arboretum located in Varennes-en-Argonne, in the Meuse department of the Lorraine region in northeastern France.
Established in 1975 under Mayor Bernard Guérin's administration and initiated by Max Ramel, a pharmacist and first deputy, it was restored in 1997 and is now jointly managed by the town and the National Forestry Office (Office National des Forêts). The arboretum contains 38 to 40 different tree species from all continents and is laid out along a 2.5-kilometer marked trail, with each tree species identified by an informational plaque.
It is open daily to visitors without charge, offering a peaceful walking experience through trees from diverse continental regions, and is situated near the edge of the Argonne Forest alongside the Aire River.
