Association Des Amis de L'arboretum Adeline
La Chapelle-Montlinard, France, France
The Association Des Amis de L'arboretum Adeline (Friends of Arboretum Adeline Association) is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting and preserving the Arboretum Adeline, located at 31 chemin du Pont de la Batte in La Chapelle-Montlinard, Cher, in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France.
The arboretum itself is a 6 to 11-hectare botanical garden situated in the ancient bed of the Loire River at the borders of Berry and Burgundy, featuring more than 1,500 to 2,000 plant species including three nationally recognized collections certified by the CCVS (Conservatoire des Collections Végétales Spécialisées).
Founded in 1965 and developed through 2002 by Claudie Adeline and her family, the arboretum was created from a collection of rare plants to preserve diverse and little-known botanical heritage. The association's mission is to ensure the longevity of this exceptional plant collection, and by joining, members contribute to maintaining this unique botanical treasure.
The arboretum is open from May 1 to November 11 on holidays and weekends, with free self-guided visits costing €10 for adults (free for children under 15) and guided tours available on request for €20, and it reopened on May 1, 2026, after being closed since August 2025 due to storm damage.
