Bourmont is a historic hilltop village in the Haute-Marne department of northeastern France's Grand-Est region, now part of the commune Bourmont-entre-Meuse-et-Mouzon, with fewer than 600 residents and recognition as one of France's smallest official "villes" since the 19th century.

Dating back to the 12th century along the ancient Via Agrippa Roman road, it flourished as a medieval stronghold with ramparts, a sénéchaussée jurisdiction over nearby villages, and a bailliage seat by 1353, though it suffered destruction during the Hundred Years' War and Wars of Religion before declining with 19th-century industrialization.
