Strasbourg Cathedral, known as Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-Strasbourg in Grand Est, France, is a Gothic masterpiece built primarily from pink Vosges sandstone between 1176 and 1439, evolving from an earlier Romanesque structure started in 1015 and blending Rayonnant Gothic elements with intricate astronomical clock and stained-glass windows depicting biblical scenes.

Its asymmetrical west facade features ornate portals with sculptures of the Virgin, saints, and martyrdoms, while the single 142-meter octagonal spire, completed in 1439 by architects Ulrich Ensingen and Johannes Hültz, stood as the world's tallest structure for 227 years until 1874. 

Dominating the city's skyline, the interior boasts a vast nave rising 32 meters with ribbed vaults, flying buttresses, and the 16th-century astronomical clock that chimes hourly with animated apostles, drawing visitors to its harmonious fusion of art, engineering, and Franco-German history amid the Rhine Valley.​
