Château d'Ivry-la-Bataille is the ruin of a medieval Norman fortress overlooking the Eure Valley in southeastern Normandy.

Built around the end of the 10th century and expanded in the early 11th century, it is considered one of the earliest stone castles in Normandy and one of the first examples of a stone keep, a design that influenced later Norman castles in France and England. The castle occupied a strategic frontier position between the Duchy of Normandy and the French kingdom, controlling an important crossing of the Eure River.

Because of this location, it was involved in numerous conflicts and was repeatedly strengthened over the centuries. After being besieged and destroyed in the 15th century, the fortress fell into ruin. Today, its restored remains are protected as a historic monument and offer visitors a glimpse into the early development of Norman military architecture, along with scenic views of the surrounding countryside.
