Château de Blain, also known as Château de la Groulais, is a historic medieval castle in the town of Blain in the Loire-Atlantique region of western France.

Originally founded around 1108 by Alan IV, Duke of Brittany, it played an important role in protecting the borders of the Duchy of Brittany and later became associated with powerful noble families such as the Clissons and the Rohans. Over the centuries, the castle was expanded, damaged in wars, rebuilt, and remodeled.

It was besieged and partially burned during the French Wars of Religion in 1591, later lost its military importance after orders from Cardinal Richelieu to dismantle parts of its defenses, and suffered further damage during the French Revolution. Today, the castle remains one of the most significant historic landmarks in the area.

Located beside the Nantes-Brest Canal, it features impressive towers, fortifications, and Renaissance-era additions that reflect its long and varied history. Much of the site is protected as a French historic monument, making it a popular destination for visitors interested in architecture, heritage, and the history of Brittany.
