Château de Blandy, also known as Château de Blandy-les-Tours, is one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the Île-de-France region.

Built in the 13th century as a fortified manor by the Viscounts of Melun, it was later expanded during the Hundred Years’ War into a powerful fortress with defensive walls, towers, a moat, and a prominent keep. Over time, the castle evolved from a military stronghold into a noble residence. It gradually fell into decline and was eventually converted into a farm, with many of its defensive features dismantled.

By the late 19th century, it had become a historic monument, and extensive restoration work undertaken from the 1990s restored much of its medieval appearance. Today, Château de Blandy is a major cultural and heritage site, offering visitors a rare glimpse into medieval military architecture near Paris. Its towers, fortified walls, and restored interiors make it a striking example of a feudal castle and an important landmark in Seine-et-Marne.
