Château de Bonnefontaine is an elegant Breton Renaissance château located in Val-Couesnon, near the border between Brittany and Normandy.

Its history dates back to the late 11th century, and the present château was largely built and fortified during the 15th and 16th centuries by noble families closely connected to the Dukes of Brittany and the French crown. The castle combines defensive features such as towers, machicolations, and fortified walls with refined Renaissance architecture, including sculpted dormer windows and graceful turrets.

Over the centuries, it was expanded and restored, particularly during the 19th century, while preserving its historic character. Today, Château de Bonnefontaine is recognized as an important historic monument and is surrounded by a large romantic English-style park with ponds, streams, and rare trees.
