Château de Nemours is a historic castle located in the town of Nemours, France, on the left bank of the Loing River.

Its construction began around 1120, with major phases of building and alterations through the 12th, 14th, 15th, and 17th centuries. Originally built as a fortress to control a strategic ford across the Loing, it later evolved into a more comfortable residence with additions like mullioned windows under Jacques d’Armagnac in the 15th century.

The castle played a significant role during the Hundred Years' War and the French Wars of Religion, notably as the site of the Treaty of Nemours in 1585, which strengthened the Catholic League. In the 17th century, it was transformed into a law court with architectural enhancements such as a grand staircase.

Today, the castle serves as a museum housing an extensive collection of 19th and early 20th-century art, including paintings, sculptures, and prints. It is recognized as a significant cultural and historical monument, showcasing Gothic and Renaissance architectural elements, and offers visitors panoramic views of the town and surrounding landscape.
