Château du Grand‑Besse is a historic castle in the commune of Saint‑Maur in the Cher département of central France, positioned in a former enclave where the old provinces of Bourbonnais and Berry meet.

The present structure dates mainly from the early 15th century, centered on a solid square keep with mullioned windows, while only a round tower and a section of wall and moat survive from the original enclosure.

A new residential wing was built in the 17th century and later enlarged in the 19th with a neo‑Gothic staircase tower, giving the château a mix of late‑medieval and later architectural styles, and both the keep and the later residence, along with surrounding farm buildings decorated with alternating brick and stone, are recognized as a protected monument historique.
