Conches-en-Ouche is a charming small town of around 4,000 residents in Normandy's Eure department, France, perched on a plateau overlooking the Rouloir River valley southwest of Évreux amid forests and rolling countryside ideal for hunters and hikers.

Its history traces to the 11th century with the construction of Château de Conches-en-Ouche by Roger I of Tosny, a key fortress that changed hands during the Hundred Years' War and was largely demolished in the 16th century after serving as a Catholic League refuge, leaving today just its imposing keep amid a public park used for town hall and library functions.

Visitors enjoy the Flamboyant Gothic Church of St. Faith with its stunning 16th-century Renaissance stained glass, half-timbered houses, a former abbey, arboretum, and a glass museum honoring local artist François Décorchemont, all in a peaceful setting without heavy tourism.​
