Verified d'Auvergne Botanical Garden

Chamalières, France, France

There appears to be no botanical garden called "d'Auvergne Botanical Garden" located in Chamalières, France.

The actual Jardin botanique d'Auvergne (also known as Jardin botanique d'essais de Royat-Charade) is a 9-hectare botanical garden located in Charade, Royat—not Chamalières—in the Puy-de-Dôme department of the Auvergne region.

This garden was established in 2007 as a joint project between the Jardin en Herbes association and the town of Royat, and it features more than 150 types of local flora with collaboration from the Conservatoire botanique national du Massif central starting in 2008. The garden includes diverse areas such as an altitude garden showcasing Massif Central and sub-Alpine plants, ethnobotanical and magical gardens based on popular beliefs, forest gardens, meadows with hedgerows, stream valleys, and spaces for scientific plant study.

Chamalières does have other botanical attractions like Parc Bargoin, a well-maintained public park with ancient trees and landscaped gardens, and the nearby Charme Botanical Garden in Clermont-Ferrand featuring almost 800 plants representing different French landscapes.
