Diant is a quaint commune in the Seine-et-Marne department of northern France, situated along the Yonne River valley about 80 kilometers southeast of Paris, known for its vineyards, forests, and proximity to the Fontainebleau Forest.

First mentioned in the 6th century as a Merovingian estate, it developed around a Romanesque church from the 12th century dedicated to Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens, featuring Gothic elements added later, and grew as a wine-producing village with historic half-timbered houses and a 19th-century bridge spanning the river.

Today, it attracts visitors for its peaceful rural charm, local white wines from the Sauvignon Blanc grape, cycling paths, and access to hiking trails amid rolling hills and châteaux nearby.
