Gizeux is a village in the Indre-et-Loire department of central France, known for its historical Château de Gizeux, a prominent example of Loire Valley architecture with a long façade and richly decorated galleries that blend medieval, Renaissance, and Enlightenment styles.

The château, set within the Parc naturel régional Loire-Anjou-Touraine, was historically owned by poet Joachim du Bellay’s family for several centuries and later became the property of noble families such as the Contades. The interiors feature extensive painted galleries from the 17th century and the grounds include a landscaped park from the 19th century.

Gizeux offers a tranquil rural setting near the town of Bourgueil and is part of a region famous for scenic gardens and cultural sites, making it a quiet destination for heritage tourism and natural exploration.
