Horgues is a commune located in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitania region of southwestern France.
It is part of the Tarbes arrondissement and the Moyen Adour canton, situated about 5 kilometers from the city of Tarbes. Covering an area of approximately 4.49 square kilometers, Horgues had a population of around 1,201 residents in 2022. The commune lies at an average elevation of 360 meters and experiences an altered oceanic climate.
It is characterized by natural protected areas including Natura 2000 sites along the Adour River valley. Horgues is part of the Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées agglomeration, combining rural charm with proximity to urban amenities, and its inhabitants are known as Horguais and Horguaises. The local administration is headed by Mayor Jean-Michel Ségneré for the term 2020–2026.
