Igé is a rural commune located in the Saône-et-Loire department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of eastern France, near the town of Mâcon.

It has a population of about 890 residents as of 2022 and covers an area of approximately 14.6 square kilometers with varied elevation between 225 and 600 meters. The area is known for its vineyards as part of the Mâconnais wine-producing region, which includes notable wine varieties like Chardonnay and Gamay.

Igé features historic architecture including the neo-classical 19th-century Church of Saint-Germain, the 10th-century Sainte-Bénédicte chapel in the hamlet of Domange, and the medieval Château d’Igé from the 12th century, now serving as a hotel.
