Jungle Garden
Eu, France, France
Jungle Garden, also called Jardin Jungle Karlostachys, is a wild exotic jungle park and botanical garden in Eu, Normandy, in northern France, owned by Charles Boulanger who personally guides all visitor tours.
Covering 15 hectares of wild forest, the garden features over 7,000 identified plant species from around the world, including ginger, passion flowers, bamboos, rhododendron, lianas, and rare trees from China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand. The garden is divided into three main areas: an arboretum with rare trees like Bretschneidera, Cathaya, Sequoia, and Fitzroya, a bamboo garden, and a walled garden with hydrangea, rhododendron, and vines, plus a cold-resistant eucalyptus plantation.
It is an innovative, eco-friendly garden that respects native biodiversity, practices ecological restoration, and completely avoids fertilizers and chemical products. The Jungle Garden is open year-round on guided tours from mid-March to late October, with adult tickets at €15 and children under 12 at €5, and boots or rain clothing may be needed since the park is not accessible by car and is not suitable for people with mobility issues or strollers.
