Lac de Cormoranche is a 42-hectare recreational lake and leisure center located in Cormoranche-sur-Saône in the Ain department of eastern France, nestled in a verdant spot at the meeting point of three regions: Bresse, Bourgogne, and Beaujolais, just 15 minutes south of Mâcon and 15 kilometers from the Grand Site de France de Solutré Pouilly Vergisson.
The lake features a 24-hectare sandy beach with supervised bathing in a protected swimming area, a fishing spot, and numerous water activities including kayaking, paddleboarding, rowing, sailing, and pedalos. The leisure base offers extensive amenities for families such as an aquapark, mini-golf, disc-golf, children's playgrounds, a kids' club with entertainment during July and August, and picnic areas with barbecues.
Visitors can stay at the adjacent 4-star camping site that accommodates tents, caravans, and camping cars with 4-star pitches, plus various accommodations including cottages, mobile homes, accessible mobile homes for people with reduced mobility, and unusual options like equipped Tipis, bivouac tents, Amazon tents, and lodge tents.
The site also features a snack and restaurant serving fast food and regional specialties like Beaujolais and Burgundy wines along with Bresse gastronomy, and serves as a departure point for cycling the famous Voie Bleue (Blue Path) along the Saône River to explore picturesque landscapes and villages.
