Once home to bishops of Condom with a now-ruined château featuring a prominent donjon tower, Romanesque fortified church, and houses built against the walls that sheltered up to 300 residents, it sits on a pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela near a UNESCO-listed bridge over the Osse River.
Recognized as one of France's most beautiful villages, its narrow lanes, museum, seasonal shops, and serene Armagnac countryside draw visitors despite only seven permanent inhabitants today.
