Parc du Thabor is a beautiful 10-hectare public park in the heart of Rennes, France, beloved for its harmonious blend of formal French gardens and naturalistic English landscape design.

Originally established in the 17th century as a garden for the Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Melaine, it was transformed into a public park in 1866 by landscape architect Denis Bühler. The park features over 3,000 plant species, including a celebrated rose garden with more than 2,000 rose bushes representing 200 varieties that blooms spectacularly in summer.

Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks along winding paths, visit an aviary with a pagoda-style birdhouse, explore small bridges and waterfalls, or relax in peaceful corners for quiet reflection. Its elevated position offers stunning views over Rennes, making it a popular spot for photographers and those seeking respite from city life.
