Parc et Roseraie du château de Rambures
Rambures, France, France
Parc et Roseraie du château de Rambures is a 15-hectare romantic landscape park and rose garden surrounding the 15th-century Château de Rambures in Rambures, Somme, Picardy, France, that is registered as an additional inventory of Historic Monuments and has held the "Jardin remarquable" label since 2006.
The park was planted in the 18th century with diverse tree species in an English landscape style, creating a lush green setting for the impressive medieval fortress. In 2003, Comtesse de Blanchard created a medieval-inspired rose garden in the former vegetable plot, which has since grown into one of the finest rose gardens in northern France with nearly 4,000 rose bushes representing over 500 old and modern rose varieties displayed in a 3,200 m² enclosed area.
Visitors can explore the park and rose garden along with the fully furnished 15th-century castle, experiencing a 600-year journey through time. The site is open seasonally from mid-February to late October with varying hours (generally 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM in summer, shorter hours in spring and fall), closed on Wednesdays except for special openings, and admission of €12 includes access to the castle, park, and rose garden, with reduced rates for children (5–15 years) at €8 and groups at €10.
