Parc Zoologique et Botanique de Mulhouse is a 25-hectare zoo and botanical garden in Mulhouse, Haut-Rhin, France, founded in 1868 by local industrialists and now one of the top tourist sites in Alsace.
The park houses over 1,200 animals of 170 different species—including rare animals like Siberian tigers, polar bears, red pandas, Asiatic lions, muskoxes, arctic foxes, zebras, and Madagascan lemurs—alongside 3,500 species and varieties of plants in a romantic, landscaped setting with century-old trees.
It holds the national "Jardin Remarquable" label for its exceptional botanical collections, which include nine thematic gardens featuring both exotic and local plants. The park is a European center for conservation, actively participating in international breeding programs for over 30 years to protect endangered species.
Open daily year-round (including holidays), admission is €17.50 for adults and €11.50 for children, with family and group rates available, and opening hours vary by season from 9 AM–4 PM in winter to 9 AM–7 PM in summer (May–August). Visitors can enjoy guided tours, a small train, animal encounters, treasure hunts, and dining facilities, making it ideal for family outings.
