Park Arboretum Montfermeil
Montfermeil, France, France
Parc Arboretum de Montfermeil is a 10.9-hectare park and arboretum in Montfermeil, Seine-Saint-Denis, Île-de-France, France, located at the end of tramway T4 with free daily access year-round.
The park was created in 2006 by combining two existing parks—the former parc du Château des Cèdres along rue de l'Église and parc Jean Valjean—with extensive landscaping that added 731 new trees and bushes to the 489 trees already there. Its main feature is a long, curving dike that divides the site into two distinct sections: a large natural-style park to the northwest and a smaller geometric space to the east, each with its own pond on either side of the dike.
Visitors can explore 3.3 kilometers of walking and cycling paths while discovering nearly 160 varieties of trees and shrubs, admire a historic château listed as a Monument Historique from the Victorian era, and enjoy a lively water body filled with local wildlife. The park is easily accessible by the T4 tram (Arboretum stop) or by car with parking on rue de l'Église, and entrance points are located on rue de l'Église and boulevard de l'Europe.
