Poërop Arboretum, now known as “Les Arbres du Monde au Huelgoat” (Trees of the World in Huelgoat), is a 22-hectare botanical park located in Huelgoat, Finistère, Brittany, France, nestled at a high point in the Monts d’Arrée mountains.

Created in 1967 when the Huelgoat retirement home acquired the property, it was originally called “Arboretum du Poërop” and started as a farm for self-sufficiency before evolving into Brittany’s first botanical tree collection.

The park showcases exceptional plant biodiversity with 3,600 different tree and shrub species (taxons) from four continents—Europe, South America, Asia, and Oceania—organized by geographical origin and by plant type such as rhododendrons, magnolias, oaks, maples, botanical roses, and apple orchards. 

Situated on a summit, it offers beautiful views over the valley and the traditional Finistère countryside, including notable specimens like Australian eucalyptus and Himalayan medicinal plants. The site is currently managed by a private team with an association and is open to visitors for self-guided or guided tours, with guided visits available in French, Breton, and English.
