Rambures is a small commune located in the Somme department of the Hauts-de-France region in northern France. It sits at the crossroads of the D180 and D110, approximately 24 kilometers southwest of Abbeville.

The village is best known for the impressive Château de Rambures, a brick-built fortress dating back to the late Middle Ages and recognized as a rare example of 15th-century military architecture in the region. The castle, surrounded by a picturesque park and rose garden, is open to visitors and features historically significant Picardy furniture.

The origins of Rambures trace back to at least the eleventh century, with the name first recorded in 1058, and the castle’s history intertwines with noble families and figures such as David de Rambures—a character mentioned in Shakespeare’s "Henry V" and a commander during the Hundred Years’ War. The area is also known as the namesake of the Rambour apple variety.

Over the centuries, Rambures has maintained a modest population and a tranquil rural character, making it an emblematic site of French heritage and local history where visitors can explore both medieval architecture and well-preserved natural surroundings.
