Terraube is a small commune located in the Gers department in southwestern France, within the Occitania region. It occupies an area of about 25 square kilometers and has a population of around 360 residents.

The village is known for its medieval history, including a significant event during the French Wars of Religion in 1562, when many Protestant inhabitants were massacred. Terraube is situated in a picturesque rural setting typical of Gascony, featuring traditional architecture and historical landmarks such as the Château de Terraube, a 13th-century castle built for the de Galard family, who were Merovingian dukes of Gascony.

The castle has been expanded and renovated over the centuries, particularly in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. Its location within the scenic Gers countryside and its historical heritage make Terraube a notable example of a small, historic French village.
