The Château d’Orcher is a historic castle in Gonfreville-l’Orcher, Normandy, dramatically positioned on a cliff overlooking the Seine estuary near Le Havre.

Originally built as a medieval fortress in the 11th and 12th centuries to protect this strategic waterway, it has witnessed nearly a thousand years of Norman history. Over the centuries, the fortress was damaged, rebuilt, and eventually transformed into an elegant residence during the 18th century. While it retains important medieval features, it is also known for its refined interiors, historic woodwork, and impressive views of the estuary and the Normandy Bridge.

Today, the château remains in the hands of the Harcourt family and is recognized as an important historic monument. Its combination of medieval architecture, aristocratic heritage, and spectacular location makes it one of the most distinctive castles in Normandy.
