Vendres is a commune in the Hérault department in the Occitanie region of southern France. It has a population of around 2,700 residents known as Vendrois and Vendroises.

The commune is located near Béziers, covering an area of approximately 37.8 square kilometers with a Mediterranean climate and is characterized by a mix of rural and coastal landscapes. Vendres is known for its historical sites, including the 13th-century Château de Vendres, which features remains like the curtain wall and fortified gateway, protected as a historic monument.

Another important site is the so-called Temple of Venus, a Roman villa dating back to the first century AD, featuring underfloor heating and several alterations over time. The commune is traversed by several watercourses, including the Aude River, and has multiple protected natural sites that highlight its ecological significance.
