The Village Arboretum in Vernet-les-Bains, France, is the first village arboretum in France, created in 1990, where trees and the village itself are so intertwined that they form a unique living botanical space.

Throughout the town, more than 2,000 trees representing 320 different species have been identified and cataloged, making the entire village a remarkable plant heritage site. Visitors can explore the arboretum freely and at no cost anytime, either on their own using free information sheets available at the Tourist Office or by joining guided tours offered seasonally on Thursdays from June to September.

The village sits at 680 meters altitude in a protected valley within the Catalan Pyrenees Regional Nature Park at the foot of the Canigou mountain massif, adding to its natural beauty and appeal for nature lovers.
