Yèvre-le-Châtel is a historic village located in the Loiret department in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France, near Yèvre-la-Ville.

It has been an important fortified site since at least the 10th century, occupying a strategic position on the border between the dioceses of Orléans and Sens along the ancient Roman road from Sens to Le Mans. The village is dominated by the ruins of its medieval castle, built in the early 13th century under King Philip Augustus, featuring well-preserved defensive walls, four round corner towers, and additional towers at the entrance.

This fortress played a key role in regional defense during the Hundred Years' War, remaining unconquered by the English or Burgundians. The village also has two historic churches: the Church of Saint-Gault, still in use, and the partly ruined Church of Saint-Lubin, which was never completed due to damage during the Wars of Religion.

Yèvre-le-Châtel is celebrated for its charming cobblestone streets, traditional stone houses, and a medieval garden, making it one of the most attractive villages in the area, open to visitors from April to October.
